A parent posed a question to us.

What constitutes a good tutor?

Our answer in summary.

Having the highest of qualification i.e bachelors, masters helps in giving confidence to parents but it is not the defining factor if the child will make improvement.

The set skill a tutor has to have according to us is :-

a. In depth knowledge of MOE syllabus
b. Necessary skill to tackle, teach and deliver exam question answering technique.

c. Patience to determine best way to teach each individual student.
d. Tutor must be a mentor. Find out what motivates each student , his strength / weakness. Set objectives, goal and a plan.

E. Commitment, Responsibility, Passion for education, emphaty and understanding.
