MOTIVATING STUDENTS

Dangling carrots and incentives are good ways to motivate students to push themselves.

It shoud not be the only way though as it could skew a child's oblective of why education and knowledge are crucial in one's life.

Set objectives and goals with your child and map out a gettable strategy to how to achieve these goals.

Find out what their ambitions are and what are their 'hot buttons' which would get them pumped up.

Talk and share with them real life stories which supports your notion taht education is of utmost importance.

PROBLEM SUMS

HEURISTICS CONCEPTS ARE CRUCIAL TO A CHILD'S MATHS PROBLEM SUMS SOLVING ABILITY.

A DEDICATION TO MASTER MODEL DRAWING SHOULD BE NURTURED FROM LOWER PRIMARY SO AS NOT TO OVERLOAD THE CHILD AT UPPER PRIMARY LEVEL AND TO ENSURE HE/ SHE HAS AN UNBREAKABLE  FOUNDATION.

At The Learning Verve nowledge Hub, WE INVEST AT LEAST 45 MINUTES PER MATHS LESSON TO WORD PROBLEM SUMS SOLVING.
SOME KEY THING TO NOTE

1, Read the question at least twice to understand the problem posed. Narrow it down to the key topics. Tick every sentence that you have read and understood.
2. Highlighting key word / words.
3 Associate characteristics of such word / words to a certain way to solve the sums.
4. If possible, present the sums in number bond, smaller digits or other creative ways to elevate your understanding.

The Learning Verve is recruiting OUTDOOR AND INDOOR PRE SCHOOLERS ENRICHMENT TRAINERS at Bedok North, Chai Chee Ave,Tampines & Yishun for selected classes. This a part time position.

Candidate should possess at least a CERT IN PRE SCHOOL TEACHING .19 years old and above. No gender preferance. Teaching and tutoring experience will be of advantage but not a neccessity.

Classes include Phonics, Fun with English, Creative Maths, Arts etc.

Above all, the individual /individuals should be passionate about teaching and is /are commited to each child's optimum performance. In addition if you feel you have the inate knack of motivating children then we would like to meet you.
